With over a decade within the industry in the UK and NZ and with experience running his own businesses in commercial, retail and producing his own product line, Daimon is passionate about barbering and the male grooming industry. His goal is to improve the standard and work force of the trade within New Zealand and provide the industry with the most highly skilled graduates.
Daimon started out as a mobile barber in London, servicing big companies, from top recruitment consultants and financial firms to film production companies, runway and fashion styling. He created a successful product line, Daimon Barber and has managed awarding winning barber shops and parlours in London.
Daimon maintains close industry ties around the world, runs masterclasses and invites special guests from all over the country to aid and mentor his students.
He is constantly learning new methods to evolve his teaching, helping his students develop life skills and delivering the best possible barbering programme in the country.

Amanda is one of Wellington’s leading freelance Makeup Artists having been in the Makeup Industry since 2014. She has worked for cosmetic houses such as Elizabeth Arden and MAC Cosmetics where she thrived in giving customers an excellent experience. Amanda is often seen behind the scenes collaborating with industry professionals on photoshoots and backstage at various Fashion shows.
She is highly experienced in Fashion, Commercial, Runway and Bridal Makeup.
Career highlights include working as the Assistant Makeup Designer for the World of Wearable Arts (WoW), leading teams at Fashion Shows and collaborating with like-minded creatives.
As a full time tutor, Amanda is passionate and dedicated to teaching. She develops her students artistry and industry skills, helping to shape the next generation of Makeup Artists.’
Sarah is an award winning Make Up, Special Effects (SFX), Prosthetics and Body Artist based in Wellington.
From creating characters for anything from Period Drama’s to full on Horror films, or bringing to life, full, prosthetic creatures, for Stage, Screen, competitions, festivals and events, the skills Sarah learnt here, at Weltec, have allowed her to enjoy success in many different sectors of this creative industry.
She has worked on many short and feature films, which have enjoyed national and international success, and her time working within the Auckland and Wellington professional film industry, has connected her with leading NZ Makeup and Prosthetic Artists.
Other avenues have included Body-art collaboration at festivals to running large scale horror events, and Commercial work like realistic major trauma scenarios for First Aid training seminars, and health and safety videos
Her accomplishments include multiple awards for her Prosthetic and Body-art incl: 2 NZ Body Art Awards, Winner and 2nd place; BodyFX Armageddon SFX competitions, nominations as top makeup artist in the Wellington V48 Hour Film awards and multiple Best Makeup awards on film
Sarah has returned to where it all began, here at Weltec, where she is passionate about sharing her knowledge & experience.
Having worked as a makeup artist for 20 years, Caroline has extensive experience in all areas of makeup artistry having worked for many years on runway and fashion makeup in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland and recently LA. She has also worked in cosmetics sales and is passionate about providing and teaching the best customer experience possible. Other areas of her work experience include leading and managing teams of makeup artists on large scale events such as the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2006 Commonwealth Games, MTV Australia Music awards, Make me a supermodel Australia and has wide experience in HD TV makeup and celebrity work, bridal and fashion editorial makeup. In Wellington, Caroline continues her freelance work alongside teaching, specializing in Bridal/special occasion, fashion, commercial and Runway
Originally from Germany, Dany had extensive training in beauty makeup, character makeup, makeup SFX, prosthetics and hair & wig work.
Dany has worked in the industry for many years in Germany and Europe before settling in New Zealand in the year 2000.
She has worked in all fields of the make-up artistry industry from film, TV and stage to the beauty and fashion industry.
Her special skills lie in character make-up, make-up special effects & wig work.
Since 2005, Dany has successfully leading the Weltec Makeup Artistry programmes and is passionate about teaching New Zealand's up and coming make-up artists and enjoys working with a team of highly skilled and dedicated tutors.
